Why Cleanse Seasonally?
Our bodies need to adapt in order to work in an optimal way to adjust to nature and it’s changing seasons.
For example: in winter we may want hot drinks and stews, while in summer we would prefer cold drinks and salads. But this is only on a basic level, internally, our organs need targeted support for each season.
Every season provides us with the opportunity to strengthen the functions that relate to that particular season.
Autumn:
Autumn is governed by the Metal element- Lungs and Large Intestine meridians/ energy channels. It’s the time of year to start letting go of what no longer supports us, on all levels, preparing our bodies and minds for the coming winter.
These meridians also have to do with gut function, skin, clarity of mind and optimism.
As most of our Immune System resides in our gut; therefore, a healthier gut means a healthier Immune System, our first line of defence against any intruders, including better resilience to colds and flus’.
Winter:
Winter is governed by the Water Element- Kidneys and Bladder. It’s the time of the year to keep warm and build up our reserves.
These meridians control our nervous system, hormonal system, stress levels, lower back, tendency for anxiety and more.
It’s a perfect time to work on our lower back and our nervous system and relax the Sympathetic Autonomic System
Spring:
Spring is the time when nature bursts alive with new growth. It is the time for new beginnings and new direction. It’s time to detox our liver and have a fresh start.
Spring is governed by the Wood Element- Liver and Gall Bladder meridians/ energy channels.
These meridians can lead to tight neck and shoulder, flexibility, joint and anger.
When these organs are functioning optimally, all possibilities open up and we have the ability to choose clearly which path is the most appropriate for us.
Summer:
Summer is the time when nature heats up and expands. It is the time to connect, celebrate and be happy. It’s time to fan the internal fire within.
Summer is governed by the Fire Element- Heart and Small Intestines meridians/ energy channels (also, Triple Heater and Heart Constrictor).
When these organs are functioning optimally, we feel joyful, happy, and content (without the need for alcohol and sugar).
The fire element is also in charge of the power of digestion, our physical strength, and our creativity. It’s also a good time to improve our circulation.
Cleansing before the holidays will also prepare us to take better care of our bodies during the holiday season and minimise the damage.
New Year/ late Summer:
The New Year is the perfect time to kick start our wellness as many of us tend to overindulge over the holiday season and it can be hard to get rid of the excess before it calls our body home (not the new normal we want).
Starting in January Sets the tone for the rest of the year and puts your New Year’s resolutions about being slimmer, exercising more and eating healthier into practice straight away.
January and February are also the time of the Earth Element governed by the Spleen & Stomach Meridians (They control Digestion, Nourishment, as well as learning and adjusting to change) making it an excellent time to slim down and establish new habits.

How does it work?
The program lasts for 7 days and runs LIVE online via zoom.
You are able to work and look after your family during the cleanse.
You’ll be provided with a Specific Cleanse Eating Plan, Recipes, Cooking Videos and a Shopping List. This will guide you how to cook delicious plant-based wholefoods that will nourish your body and help eliminate food cravings.
Sunday 7- 9am- Orientation:
We learn about the Program and the benefits of cleansing with wholefoods.
Explaining in detail, the how and the why, which foods and drinks we’ll be introducing for the week and which we’ll be eliminating, the activities and what to expect etc.
Sunday 9 -11am – Live Cooking Workshop:
We all cook together the main dishes you’ll need for the week.
Monday – Friday 5:30 -6:30am:
We practice specific saesonal exercises that will increase vitality and strengthen internal organs to enhance the cleansing process.
Monday – Friday 6:30 -7:00am:
We’ll then have a simple breakfast together (via Zoom).
Every day you will learn a different aspect of the impact Foods, Drinks and Activities have on our health and wellness.
Saturday 12-2pm:
We will guide you on how to integrate the “New and Improved You” back into daily life and how to maintain the results you’ve achieved.
Saturday 2-4pm:
Bonus Cooking Workshop.
To help you maintain your fantastic results, we’ll prepare basic dishes recommended for the following week.

By Saturday participants generally feel amazing, most have lost some excess weight and are motivated to keep up good healthy habits in daily life.

Who is the facilitator?
The program is led by Mandakini Foux (58).
She is a Wellness and Nutrition Educator and Coach with a BSc, a Yoga Teacher with Diploma in Japanese Ryoho Yoga, a Zen Shiatsu and Oriental functional therapist and a qualified Zumba Instructor. Mandakini is also a certified Resulta Coach with the ICF.
For more than 30 years, Mandakini has been guiding people from all walks of life, in their wellness journey (both in Australia and Overseas) utilising Nutrition, Exercise and Supplementation.
Mandakini is passionate about health, nutrition and confident aging. She loves empowering people to take control of their wellness.
She specialises in Immune & Hormonal Health, Confident Aging, Therapeutic Yoga ( Lower Back, Weight Loss and Women’s Health) and is an international speaker.

What is Japanese Yoga?
Japanese Yoga combines traditional yoga postures with movements designed to activate certain meridians/energy channels, thus it can be tailored to focus on different parts and/or functions of the body/mind.
